It's pathetic, right? Posts: 3,326 Group: Administrator Member #14 Joined: April 19, 2006	How To Do Rumors …MEEEEEEAT! Back AGAIN?! Ugh, alright, alright…Since Amaya’s so nice; she SUPPOSES she can help you. What do you need this time? Help with starting and completing some juicy rumors you’ve heard about? RIGHT ON! YOU GO OUT THERE AND FIND THE UNKNOWN! … But I digress. Eh hem, the first step to starting a rumor is to have your, ‘I HAVE MY CHARACTER PROFILE APPROVED!’ card ready and waiting. Because as you know, you may NOT do any role playing, let alone rumor solving, without an approved profile. Second step is to make sure it’s a free day, as skipping classes is NOT allowed and most likely you will be caught and punished. Bad luck, buddy. Guess we have to play the waiting game again if it’s a school day, huh! Annnnyway! It’s a free day, right? And you’re all ready and raring to go, right?! And you’ve got some friends in mind maybe to help you out incase it gets dangerous?....NO!? Well…We’ll let it slide for now and get to it later… But with all the rest of the points checked off, you’re ready to pick yourself out a rumor here at the Rumor Thread. Now, you’ll need to get in contact with the staff member that created the rumor you chose! Which is pretty simple, since most of the time the staff member that created the rumor will post it up! So, for example. I’m looking down the list of rumors that haven’t been done and find one in a reply made by Triyun. I then PM him with the title being the title of the rumor and ask him politely if I may do the rumor. THEN GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS, MEAT! … THAT’S RIGHT! IT’S TIME TO PLAY THE WAITING GAME! So, you wait for said staff member to PM you back with their reply, then if you are told you’re good to go, they or you will make a thread in the proper place where the rumor is said to be happening in, and you go from there! But…Zomg? What’s this? The rumor is about a hyooge demon that is twenty stories tall and enjoys munching on little high school children?! Then golly gee! Sounds like you might need either A) some more friends so they can be eaten while you triumph. Or someone a bit stronger than you. See? This is that part with the friends that I was talking about! If you can, try PMing some of your friends and see if they’re interested in helping in harder rumors! Or, if you’re lucky, maybe you can get a hold of some of the senior or stronger member that has a few levels up on you to help out! You’d be surprised at how many people will jump at the opportunity to get some cool prizes! Hey! Maybe this is a good time to tell you about the PERKS of completing Rumors, meat! Well, as stated before, with most if not all rumors, you’ll get some kind of prize for completing it. Prizes may range from weapons, to cool items, to dirt! Who knows! It’s all in the luck of the draw! Lastly, the downside of not being prepared for rumors, or going about completing them wrong. See, sometimes if you’re too weak, or lack the numbers to take down an opponent, you might fail a rumor. If you see yourself slipping downhill though, don’t try to go down honorably, or you might JUST get yourself killed off, and you know I’d miss you dearly, meat. Anyway! To avoid such a thing, all you have to do is turn tail and run before you’re hurt badly! There’s no shame in it, and you may attempt rumors again, but maybe the next time you’ll better prepare yourself! Another way to fail a rumor is to go about completing it incorrectly. If, for example, you see a thread about a mysterious man that refuses to talk to males, and is said to pummel and males that DO talk to him, maybe it would be wise to bring a female along with you! Most of the time, rumors are not about brute strength, but rather cunning. Keep that in mind. So…That’s basically it, meat. Happy hunting! -Amaya
