If you run your own InvisionFree board, it would be helpful if you submit this through your Administrator Control Panel (Admin CP) Support Ticket Service. The more Support Tickets sent from other boards, the most likely we will receive a response. If you do send it, please put your "Administrator Name" below mine, as well as the name of your board. ------------------ Support Ticket Title: Major Problem Support Ticket Type: Support Ticket "Hi there. We'll look into it." "We are escalating your ticket to a higher tier of support for better service." These two things were told to us some time ago, after a man named Ben had responded to our support ticket. The original Support Ticket that was sent concerning the problem was created on November 27th, 2006, and was sent from the /nescius/ board. From that date until today, only two responses were received. These responses contained the above quoted lines as part of the message. However, since November 27th, not one thing has been done about the addressed problems. It is now January 14, 2007. It has been well over a month since this problem was brought up and -nothing- has been done to even show any interest in solving the problem. The problem, you ask? The Administrator of the "Animezone" Board on the InvisionFree Directory has done a series of things to disrupt the activity and hits of other boards; on top of that, it is possible the owner even hi-jacked a board to do so. It was first noticed that the "Animezone" board has the -exact- original URL of the old Hyakuji High School RPG board. ( http://s9.invisionfree.com/hyakujihighrpg ). The Administrator was confronted with the information on how his board had the same URL as the old Hyakuji Board. His first statement in defense was that his friend had given him the board. The second statement was that when he noticed the old Hyakuji High School board, when clicking the link, gave a "Board does not exist" error. Thusly he created a "hyakujihighrpg" account in order to have the board accessed from the spot the old board had in the Directory. By creating a board with the "hyakujihighrpg" name on a s9/z9 server, the Administrator of the board was able to take the place of the one that no longer existed, stealing its hits and board creation date. This excuse disproved the idea that the board had been hi-jacked and given to him, as when this was figured out, it was also figured out a similar problem had occured. Because of the s1 server problem, the Directory had a problem as well. Boards stopped receiving hits from the directory if clicked, and if said board was deleted it would not be removed from the directory. Thusly, if the board name is clicked, it would present a "Board does not exist" error in place of a board. This allows the person to register or rename a board with the same name, as long as it is on the same server. The same Administrator of "Animezone" used this tactic to take over the hits of another board, Radiant Lands. Radiant Lands was another board which was within the top five in the RPG section. However, the RPG itself was not fairing so well. In an attempt to gain more members the old board name it went by, "radiantlands", was changed to "nescius" as was the whole setting for the board. The problem presented by this was that the name "radiantlands" no longer existed, and the problem listed in the paragraph above this one took place. While the board had moved, the Directory had not changed. When one clicked the link in the Directory, it would direct one to the link "s11.invisionfree.com/radiantlands/" instead of "s11.invisionfree.com/nescius/", and thusly give a "Board does not exist error." Seeing this, the Administrator from "Animezone" used the board name "radiantlands" on another board of his. When the link was clicked in the directory, instead of sending them to the new board, Nescius, it would immediately send them to this other board which now uses the "radiantlands" name. This allowed the Administrator to direct traffic from the site the link should be going, to his own site on the "radiantlands" board. However, instead of actually making a board community there, when one clicks the link to access the board, one is immediately redirected to the "Animezone" board on s9.invisionfree.com/hyakujihighrpg. So far, we've only noticed that this has occured to two boards (radiantlands and hyakujihighrpg), however other boards may have been effected in a similar manner in order to direct traffic to this persons forums. This person needs to be brought into the eyes of InvisionFree staff. If need be, he must be IP banned for doing what he did. The Administrator of Animezone, when confronted, did not deny doing this either; instead he chose to ignore us, delete the topics we posted, and even go as far as banning some of us in response. We all know you people are most likely working hard on other projects at the moment, but it has been well over a month since the problem was addressed and -nothing- whatsoever has been accomplished within that time. Please do not say "We'll look into it," or "We're directing you to a higher tier of support." I would love to hear "We are now doing something about this problem, and it will be solved within a matter of days." While we are being selfish in asking for such, it has been too long with no response whatsoever towards fixing this problem. The s9 (z9) board is the one which is the root of the problem, while the s11 (z11) is the recreated Hyakuji High School Role playing Board. I myself have sent support ticket after support ticket to InvisionFree addressing the issue, but nothing has been done. I've compiled the information above into a hopefully simple-to-read state that can be better understood by InvisionFree staff. Again, it would be a great help if you can send this through your own boards Support Ticket service in order to get a response. I could get more in detail on some theories about this, but we'll avoid that for now. Several other sites on IF have suffered the same fate, as I remember browsing through the directory and clicking on several links that led me to this Animezone. Shall we muster enough forces to commence spam war? We can think of themes, too... O_O hmm... everyone joins under "nobody1" "nobody2" etc... Fun. dons war helmet 4th Mobile Battalion, ready!

Due to the problems with the s1 server, no boards can receive hits through the directory or by entering the link in their browser. Thusly, it's a no-holds-bar title match, baby! Due to the problem, the only true way to give them hits right now is to access them from the eTopsites website.
