Of course, The Sting never ceases to inspire me.

How about a plot where a bunch of con artists try to come to Hyakuji? They pose as powerful mages to wow crowds and get money, only to realize, "Oh snap, there's actually people with powers here!" So the students of Hyakuji challenge them to a match, seeing through thier con. But the con artists will try to see if they can outwit the students. Of course, the cons will try to cheat, but can they out-wit people who actually do have powers?

I kinda have an idea of how we can get the con artists to trick people (thanks to the Silent Hill plot experimentation from earlier.) I think it'd be a fun thing to play; it won't just test your character's strength but their mind as well.

Vaguely makes me think of the Ninku Movie where there's a group of circus performers conning a town into paying them to be bodyguards by impersonating the Ninku and then the real Ninku show up and work to prove them wrong.

Anything that reminds me of Ninku = *two thumbs up*
