Initial D; Okay, I give. I'm obsessed.

Amane's Older Sister Posts: 1,726 Group: Members Member #30 Joined: April 20, 2006	Back in the day, I remember we had a race down Hyakuji Mountain as a part of Gym class. How about we make drifting teams (around 3 people per team) who race against eachother down the mountain with one referee? We'd have to made a map of the racing paths but I think it'd be a fun idea to try out. Each member of the team can make their own logo and wear it in their sig. They can set challenges for eachother, pitting one member per team against a member of another team. Spectators can watch on the side and cheer for their favorites. We can even make car profiles so that each person starts on the same level and as they win races, they gain points to add to thier vehicle's characteristics. What do you say? =D (Sorry but I've become seriously obsessed with Initial D. How else did I think this up?)

Mars goes 20mph faster than Crazy in his Godzilla costume. I remember when they had this kind of stuff in the Random RP section... it was nice... but speaking from my own perspective, I don't know if I can pull this off.

It's like having a tourny but with cars. But I'm still trying to think of how to RP it. Any suggestions?

Wangan Midnight, IMO, was waaaay better, but hey, ID is always fun. I'm all for it. I think, if we did pull it off, we'd have to do it by chance. Some time of randomization, like dice XD. Or, of course, we could always have it preset, so that somebody will automatically lose and win. Shrugs. Yeah, it wouldn't be the best, but people watching the match would have no idea, and it could simply be known by an Admin and the two racers. They could decide it.

I do it all the time when I'm choosing between this and that. ahaha. And I love the outcomes. But. I AM SOO FOR THIS IDEA. Because racing is just plain fun. Although...I know next to nothing about cars, research is always good.

Are 15 year olds allowed to drive or are you talking about the graduate students/teachers only? I'm crazy about Initial D as well, but in order to be able to convincingly RP a drifting race, those involved would have to actually know how to drive/race/drift, and a lot other stuff. I don't have much hope for it, really.

I don't have much hope for it, really. That's true. Isn't the driver's liscence in Japan only for 18 year olds and up? It could be open to only 12th graders and up to be realistic. But then again, would a yakuza be open to 15 year olds joining? No, but they do here anyway. The car wouldn't be used for any other RP other than racing.

I don't think Yakuza are any different. XD But anyways, we could make them illegal racing, that way anybody can join. Wo Shing would of course be behind it and provide the cars, then keep them after the race is over (that way we won't have 15 year olds driving Imprezas all over Hyakuji) Though I wouldn't be able to participate, so i wish you the best of lucks! fist in the air

And that's the point: it's illegal. XD I think we could have a Wo Shing background, since it'd probably rake money for them (via bets) plus provide entertainment for both audiences and yakuza-members. Thanks, Eiji! ^____^
