Read The Announcements- Anything changing will be posted here, so it’s a good place to check out after you go through the rules. No Advertising Without Permission And 50 Posts- A little rule we have here. Self-explanatory. All Zetaboard Rules Apply -General - I. Suggestions and Ideas: This section is reserved for suggestions and ideas to improve the site. Members can give their input and the staff will consider all suggestions. Please save all complaints for PMs with a staff member as this section is reserved for constructive discussion pertaining to improving Shinya. II. General Chat: The General Chat is an open forum to discuss things OOC. The following is a list things to keep in mind: --Do not spam This one is an obvious forum standard, and naturally, is not limited to just the General Chat section. --No political topics. There are countless forums out there for discussing the exciting world of current events, but we have decided that our forum would not be one of them. --Before making a topic, please ensure it has not been made before. III. The Studio: Fanworks is the place for artwork and writing inspired by Shinya, while the gifted picture editors of Shinya lurking in the Graphics Workshop take requests for signatures. IV. Check the Intercom Checking the intercom section regularly will keep you up to date with all IC happenings and classes. It also provides the current timelines that are available to RP in as well as the weather for that time of day. II. Where to Begin Rping Please be aware of the titles of any threads you decide to join. Follow any instructions given in the topic title or subtitle. If it is stated that the thread is closed for only certain people, then you cannot join. If you have to PM someone to join, please do so. Starting your own topic is a good way to get to know other RPers under your own circumstances. Be sure to post whether you topic is open to all, specifically for someone, or requiring PMs to join in. Someone should join, so be patient and remember that on Shinya we RP in third person limited. IV. Joining a Club Club topics will be started by the club manager, so keep an eye out for those. ALL school clubs are open for anyone to try, but to be a member, please post in the club’s official thread. All clubs must have an official information thread. Non-school related organizations are held to the same rules as a club, however, this is case by case, please contact a staff member to discuss further details. V. Attempting Rumors Rumors are run by the staff, so once you’ve picked a rumor, please pm the staff member listed as the GM to start it. Remember, staff members are real people so we can also be very busy, please respect that if we cannot start the rumor right away. It is also required that you attempt rumors in a group. VII. Requesting a Dorm Room Please post a request for a dorm room in the dorms registration thread, located in the dorm section. You may join any house you please, but rooms will automatically be assigned to diversify your RPing experience. Please do not request to be with friends. Once you get a dorm, while you are allowed to have people of the opposite sex in your room, this board does not condone cyber or students having co-ed sleep overs. VIII. Clubs and Organizations All clubs, before being placed in the club section, should have at least three members other than the one who starts it. Clubs will be subject to approval in the join forum. Also, all clubs should maintain a member roster, the upkeep of which is left to the club leader. To become a member one should attend a minimum of two meetings though membership qualifiers are left at the discretion of the club manager. So long as this does not clash with the 'all are allowed' rule. The club manager has the right to end or continue a topic when they feel it is best. IX. Role Playing Slots There is no limit to how many places you can RP in at once, but try to keep it at an amount you can handle.

Posts: 3,326 Group: Administrator Member #14 Joined: April 19, 2006	-{Joining A Character}- *Join Forum:* Post joining character profiles in the Join Forum, using the profile template provided. A section by section explanation of each field is provided in the same thread as the template. [II] Things you should be aware of: You may only start with two powers. Any proficiency in a martial art or with a weapon counts as a power. Elemental characters can only possess one element (IE. No fire and ice combos.). Please ensure that you state all limits on your powers in number of posts. Listed here are powers that are either not allowed or requiring special Staff approval: Time Manipulation- Not allowed Immortality- Not allowed Telepathy- Requires restrictions and Mod approval Anything else that controls another character or their powers- Requires restrictions and Mod approval Weapons applications are required for all weapons and the template can be found in the Join Forum and added to the end of your profile post. Your RP Sample should be in third person limited, and while you can take something from another site, this section is a good place to get into character for the first time. [III] Schedule System & Classes: Classes Classes will be held, check the intercom for the current period or free time. School Schedule Classes are done according to people willing to teach them and are approved by moderators. Once accepted to teach a class you will be expected to post for it and to be fairly on time. Classes: Gym: -An insane gym class for super humans. Do NOT expect a boring basketball game in this class. [More to come as they are submitted] [V]The clause of implied consent: Anytime a storyline is being held up, be it a personal RP or official event the thread starter, as the DM, reserves the right to take temporary control of a character for the purposes of moving the storyline along. This clause does not allow the DM to kill or inflict life-threatening injuries to the character being controlled, nor force blatantly out of character actions or behavior. [VI] Misc.: Make sure you read through your own profile before you submit it to make sure your profile isn’t weighed down by spelling and grammatical errors. ( we suggest you use spell check). If you are a student, you are encouraged to dorm on campus in one of the houses. Students who live off campus must have a good explanation, and it will be up to the approver’s judgment. Favourite Dish?: If you are joining, you should have read all these rules. In order to make sure you have, we have created a pass code in the joining template. Please enter the following based on the day of the week your profile is posted. Monday-Friday : Curry! Saturday & Sunday: Nikujaga! Birthdays: When your birthday rolls around, we celebrate it. We're all friends here, after all. On said day, you will be given an extra power or allowed to edit your bio! Otanjou-bi Omedetou Gozaimasu!
